The long hot days of summer are upon us, and boy are they hot! But did you ever notice how all your problems disappear when you settle down in the seat of your bike, turn the key, push the button, and bring it to life - to hear the sweet sound of the road rolling by and the gentle purr of your engine?
For those several hours, it’s just you, your bike and the open road. To me motorcycling is just that, a moment to escape from the world and take in nature’s beauty on a lazy, windy back country road.
Until next month, be safe and enjoy the road.

Respect is an interesting word in the English language. You can have respect for the position one holds, but no respect for the person. It takes time to gain the respect of others and for you to respect someone. As motorcyclists, we quickly show respect towards other's rides. When we see a motorcycle in the parking lot, we may go over to it and look. We point at the different lights, dressings and accessories on it. But we don't sit on it, touch it or get in physical contact of any kind with it. We respect that person's property. Most have been brought up that way. As kids our parents would say "Don't touch that", "Look but don't touch" and other sayings. If we did touch, we got TOUCHED (ouch).
